Home Story: The Neighbor
MISSION
What better way to kick off our company’s first project than by working with a friend, skateboarding inspiration, and next-door neighbor to one of our co-founders? This home, designed and built in the heart of the pandemic, is a testament to resilience and creativity.
The incredible family includes three young kids and a grandmother who visits for a few months each year. Their 1300+ sq. ft. 1960s rambler felt cramped, and the father’s garage office wasn’t ideal for working from home. So, we took on the challenge of transforming their space.
We gutted the entire interior down to the studs, rewired the house, upgraded all the heating and cooling systems, and reimagined the layout. This renovation included two separate additions totaling over 700 sq. ft., providing much-needed space and functionality.
The result? A home that feels brand new, with another 50 years of life breathed into it. This family, along with future generations, can now enjoy their revitalized house for many years to come.
