A Home Designed for Growth
This family came to us with a common challenge—how to create more functional space in their home without expanding the existing footprint. With children ranging from elementary to high school age, they needed a versatile area where the kids could relax, play, and watch movies, as well as a dedicated space for a home gym. Additionally, hosting extended family was a priority, making a guest room an essential part of the design.

The Transformation
Situated on a sloped lot, the home had an underutilized crawl space with ceiling heights ranging from 12 feet to as low as 4 feet. Instead of expanding outward, we looked downward. The project required meticulous excavation—20 yards of soil were hand-shoveled to clear the space for development. We then reinforced the structure with new foundation walls and poured a fresh concrete slab to create a stable base.
To ensure functionality, we carefully reconfigured the existing plumbing and ductwork, transforming what was once an inaccessible crawl space into a vibrant and livable extension of their home. The final result is a thoughtfully designed, multi-purpose space that perfectly supports the evolving needs of a dynamic and growing family.
Current Phase: Construction Completion
We’re now in the final stages of construction. Finishes are being installed, systems are being tested, and the transformation is coming to life.
